Ozanam Training for new Conference members, Saturday August 14, 2021

Pre-Registration is required. Please email Odee ([email protected]) at the Diocesan Office to provide the name and the conference for the member registration. The deadline to register is noon on Thursday August 5, 2021.

Date: Saturday August 14, 2021

Time: 9:00 am   Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., the orientation program will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.  Training should conclude by 3:30 p.m.

Location: St. Vincent DePaul in Mt. Vernon located at 303 E. High St, Mt Vernon, OH 43050

Cost: $20 per person (the funds are to offset the costs of the materials from the national office and the sponsoring conference to offset the costs of the continental breakfast and lunch)

FOP Walk Saturday September 25, 2021 

Our Columbus Diocese SVDP Friends of the Poor Walk is on for this year. You can now register for the event at https://www.fopwalk.org/eventlisting/?search=OH 

We are holding the event at St. Charles Preparatory School (athletic track) on September 25, 2021, to coincide with the National FOP Walk date. Full details are available at the website listed above. Please visit the site to register, donate, find a walker, or create/join a team.  The National site is located at https://www.fopwalk.org/ The FOP walk is a great way for conferences to generate funds to support their work, as 100% of the money generated goes back to each individual conference.  T-shirts are free to each registered walker and there is no sign-up cost for the event.  

We are looking forward to the opportunity to walk with our fellow Vincentians and Friends to help generate funds for those whom we serve.  Please note the time of the event on the 25th is subject to change (slightly) to accommodate available parking at St. Charles. There will be more to come as we get closer to the event in September.        

 

Top Hat Mass & Awards Dinner Saturday October 2, 2021 

The SVDP Top Hat Mass & Awards Dinner is scheduled for October 2, 2021, at St. Francis De Sales High School. We plan to have Mass at 4:30 pm in the Chapel and the dinner & awards ceremony immediately following (at approximately 5:30) in the cafeteria. The cost for the event is $25 per person and we ask that you preregister in advance so we can have an accurate headcount for the event. Registrations must be completed by September 15, 2021,  to confirm your seat. You can register by emailing Odee at [email protected] or by phone 614-221-3554 on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursday from 9am-5pm. More to come as we get closer to the event… 

 

Coming in December
The Bishop’s SVDP Appreciation Mass should take place this year. We are working on scheduling the date at this time.
