Dismantling the Community-to-Prison Pipeline
A school suspension doubles the likelihood of a student dropping out and triples the chance of juvenile justice involvement. Juvenile incarceration increases the likelihood of ending up in the adult system by age 25 to a 1-in-3 chance. Having a felony record decreases lifetime earnings by 30%. The United States has a pipeline that is decimating communities with disadvantages. How do we respond together to change this trajectory?
