One of the goals at ARCH is to bring resources and training to parishes that will help support families who have been impacted by incarceration. We will be having a facilitator training for LEAF, which is a ministry to families started by the Cleveland Diocese. LEAF stands for "Listening, Encouraging and Assisting Families (of the incarcerated)." Here is more information about the ministry.
This training is open to anyone interested in setting up a LEAF group in their parish. These groups operate like a peer support for those who have loved ones incarcerated. Trained facilitators help the group convene. The facilitator does not need to have a loved one in prison.
Note: If you cannot attend on 3/26 but would like to be trained at a future date to start a LEAF group, please let us know. We would be happy to arrange a training session for you individually.
