Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin' By World

Getting Ahead is a 16-week workshop that shares nationally acclaimed Bridges Out of Poverty concepts directly with under-resourced persons. Thanks to a generous donor, Getting Ahead launched in the Diocese of Columbus in 2018 as part of Saint Vincent de Paul's Systemic Change programs in partnership with Mount Carmel Health Systems. 

           Increase awareness of community resources.

           Learn the "hidden rules" of social classes.

           Identify obstacles to getting ahead.

           Write their own future story.
