First Step Friday

First Step Friday (FSF) is a monthly event that helps individuals recently released from jail or prison to come to one location and get connected with a range of critical services needed to reestablish them in the Columbus area.

ARCH is supporting this event as a way to provide welcome and accompaniment support.  FSF needs volunteer "navigators" who can help individuals attending the event be welcomed and to make sure they are getting properly linked with the community agencies present.

Some of the resources at this event include:

Sealing of Records
Health Care
Mentorship
Driver License
Job Search Assistance

This program is free and open to anyone who has recently been incarcerated and looking to make a first step towards a new opportunity.

Join us every first Friday of the month at the OhioMeansJobs Columbus-Franklin County center, 1111 East Broad Street from 10:00am-2:00pm.

This is a monthly event organized by the Franklin County Reentry Coalition.
