This training is designed for anyone who is interested in becoming active with the accompaniment ministry of ARCH.
Reentry is often a difficult and overwhelming process. The presence of a positive and welcoming person in the community who can listen and accompany returning citizens on the reentry journey can make a huge difference. Through the ARCH accompaniment ministry, we can offer support to returning citizens who must navigate the landscape of local resources needed to stabilize their lives.
The training will cover the following:- Spiritual grounding in our faith for the ministry of accompaniment;
- Local examples of accompaniment in reentry;
- Explanation of various partner programs where ARCH volunteers can serve;
- Dedicated time for conversation, questions, and planning of next steps for individuals who want to become directly involved with accompaniment;
